Terms & Conditions

Please read our Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility — Open to students aged 12 and above as at the departure date.
2. Passport & Travel Documents — Passport must be valid at least 6 months beyond departure; the participant is responsible for any visas and for complying with the entry requirements and laws of Singapore and Malaysia.
3. Health & Medical Disclosure — All chronic illnesses, severe allergies, disabilities, medications and special needs must be disclosed. GEC may decline or withdraw a participant where it reasonably believes participation poses a risk.
4. Payment — A deposit reserves the place and is used to secure hotel and transport bookings. The balance is due no later than 30 days before departure; the seat is confirmed only once full payment is received. Payments are in USD.
5. Cancellation & Refund — More than 30 days before departure: 50% of the total fee refunded. 30 days or fewer before departure, or no-show: no refund. The deposit is non-refundable. If GEC cancels the programme, participants receive a full refund.
6. Travel Insurance (Mandatory) — Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory and a copy must reach GEC at least 14 days before departure. Without valid insurance the student will not travel, and no refund will apply.
7. Changes to the Itinerary — GEC may amend the schedule, venues or activities for weather, safety, operational or supplier reasons, replacing affected activities with comparable ones where reasonably possible. Such changes do not entitle a refund.
8. Code of Conduct — Students must follow GEC leaders’ instructions and behave respectfully. Serious misconduct may result in the student being sent home early, with associated costs borne by the parent/guardian.
9. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability — Participation is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. Accommodation, transport, meals and attractions are provided by independent third-party suppliers who remain responsible for their own services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GEC is not liable for injury, loss, delay or expense arising from events beyond its reasonable control or from third-party suppliers.
10. Emergency Medical Treatment — If a parent/guardian cannot be reached in time, GEC is authorised to arrange appropriate treatment. Costs not covered by insurance are the parent/guardian’s responsibility.
11. Personal Belongings — Participants are responsible for their own money, devices and valuables. GEC is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
12. Photography & Media — GEC may take and use photos/videos for educational and marketing purposes unless the parent/guardian opts out.
13. Data Protection & Privacy — Personal information is used only to administer the programme and handled per applicable data protection laws; it is shared only as necessary to deliver the trip (airlines, hotels, insurers).
14. Force Majeure — GEC is not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, epidemics/pandemics, government actions or travel restrictions.
15. Minimum Numbers — The programme requires a minimum number of participants; if not met, GEC may reschedule or cancel with a full refund offered.
16. Governing Law — These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore; the version in force at registration applies.
17. Acceptance — By submitting this registration, the parent/guardian confirms they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of themselves and the participant.
